Did you download the wrong set of drivers? You may have downloaded either the set for Linux or Windows NT. You want to make you get the Win98SE/WinME/Win2K/WinXP set. Don't worry you delete them if you grabbed the wrong ones.
That can happen easy enough. Just go back after the correct ones. When you get there go into the "drivers" or "all" section not the ones at the top but the second ones listed under WHQL. Look for the "OS" listed.
