Default Outlook Account

I have Outlook, but I dont have an account.

I dont get it, do you have to pay?

Does it have to be through a service like Earthlink, or Comcast?

Can it be like a hotmail account?

Where could I get one?

All Outlook is, is an POP3 e-mail client, to make an outlook account all you have to do is hit new account, the thing is you need a e-mail account with any service that supports pop3, ANY paid service will offer POP3, almost ANY ISP will give you e-mail accounts you can also use with outlook, and I belive GMAIL has a POP3 server you can use.

When using POP3, for incoming you put the server which your e-mail provider gives you along with the account details, but for outgoing you MUST use their outgoing mail server, at last about 95% of the time you need it, or else it will be blocked.

THANKS, I looked around GMAIL after you told me they have one I might be able to use and it worked. It was very easy and they gave me steps on how to do it.

Thanks again.
