depending on what games become multi-threaded and what ones dont AMD still might be the way to go.
im waiting to see results of AMD's new anti-hyperthreading that they integrated into socket AM2.

Are you sure they did integrate it? As far as I know it's just a rumor.

well... if it works out then im pretty sure AM2 socket dual cores will be compatible. it seems to be all rumors so far, just like anything else. there was an article in the inquirer about it.

And 965.

But remember, only the newer 965/975 chipsets support it, since the older ones arn't compatible with the Conroe's lower voltages.

I know older D975XBX (Intel Branded) boards can be made to support it by adding some components, weather this is possible with other brands I don't know.

I hope you realize that Conroe is clocked at 5.2GHz, which is much higher than what Intel is going to be releasing them as.

At stock/mildly OCed, they will do Super PI 1M in around 20s.
