Do I need a wireless networking card?
And if so, what kind do I get? I am buying a Dell XPS 700 system, and am trying to decide my specs. Any other help would be appreciated as well! Thanks! |

How will you be connecting to the internet? If you have a wireless router and plan on connecting to the internet through that, then yes, you will need it. If your just connecting through a regular wire, then no, but you will most likely need a ethernet card.

Moved to networking...
You don't need it unless you plan to go wireless with your internet connection. This is a desktop, correct? There's really no reason to do so unless you don't have any way of connecting the internet to your machine, or you have a network and can't get a wire to the switch/hub/router... All Dell's anymore do have ethernet(wired network cards) installed. At least, I've never seen one today without it...
