It takes time for the torrent you are downloading to pick up speed.

If it is continuously slow after an hour, or even a half an hour, then you might have some ports closed which need to be opened.

Or it could be that hes downloading a file with very few seeders.

It's probbaly caused by certain ports not being fowarded. Check the settings of your torrent program to see the port it uses, then log into your modem/router and have it forward those port(s) to your computers IP address.

The problem may also be that only 360 people are seeding it, and 2400 people are downloading from them. Which means that for ever person who is seeding it, there are ~6.5 people downloading from them.

torrents arnt made for speed, theyre made for mass pirating of large files; give it time pimp, give it time.

p.s. 30kb/s is pretty freakin good for me when i torrent things, the best ive had is like 300kb/s, and that what when i torrented daemon tools, which was a very small file in comparison to some other things.

Well I generally get upwards of 600Kb/s on my torrents so it is either people limiting their upload speeds, or like mentioned above you don't have the ports forwarded correctly. Which torrent program are you using?
