Ohh ok.. Well all you need to do is open the case and secure the HD inside. Make sure the jumper settings on the HD are set to SLAVE. Then plug in the power and IDE cable. When window loads go into my computer, right click the HD and select format.

I found this to be a good utility for installing a new hd or a hd which is already been used.
Plus it recognizes all kinds of HD's Download the file and make a cd, so it can be run in your comp and follow the directions. There should be an option in the menu for installing a new HD and setting it up. This will format and set up the extra drive as a new slave or OS drive. http://www.maxtor.com/portal/site/Ma...&downloadID=57 -or- --You should be able to just plug the HD in and have your computer recognize it as a slave drive Then just format the disk or delete all the content you do not wish to keep.
