the dvi will help alot, It will never look "great" compared to a PC monitor. I believe its just the difference in the size of the pixels, if you can get your TV to run the input in 1080I it might look better(mine did)... mines a 55", so the problems were even worse. If you have a widescreen, run it with the black bars if your video card won't do widescreen, stretch makes it worse too.
one example, if you watch a 320xwhatever video on a TV out, it looks really good, even though when you watch it on a PC monitor, it looks poor.
