Default How do I do this in XP...

To change a file from having a .EXE at the end to having nothing at the end? All my files have a dot and the extension after. How do I just display the name of the file and nothing else? I know there's a way but I forgot...

No problem. Go into your "My Documents" folder and go to tools--> folder options. Click the VIEW tab and find "hide extentions to known file types" UNCHECK it to see the file types like .exe and have it checked to not.

Thanks! I just remembered I had another problem - there used to be a long bar at the bottom of the screen that displays all the information of a folder, like the size of the objects inside, and how many objects there are. How do I get this information bar?
