Heya guys,
I got an IPOD 5G 30GB in black from my parents just a day ago. The earphones that come with it are ridiculously crappy. What other ones would you suggest. I am looking for emphasis on clear sound an BASS! My favorite now is the following: Sennheiser MX 51 Street http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826106029 I currently own these but I want something small: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826106324 JAN ![]()

They are not bad when it comes to normal music I guess. However I love Trance, Techno, Hard House and stuff like that. That music requires rich bass which the IPOD earphones cannot reproduce well. The mid-level sounds and trebble are quite good actually.

these are Godly... i got them a week ago for my iPod, and they are the best earbuds i have every had or ever used... they are made by apple, but WAYYY better then the stock ones the iPod comes with...
but if u want something less expensive but good sound (even though the apple ones blow them away) then get these very nice value headphones and best in its price range but still nothing like the apple ones... one thing about the apple ones, is alot of people compain they fall out of their ear... that is cus they don't put them in right... they just basically let their earphones rest on their ear... these are amazing when u jam them as deep in ur ear as u can get them... they are just Godly... crazy awsome :p |

Those are too expensive. I am willing to go to $ 50. I prefer brands like Koss, Sennheiser etc.

You may want to check out the Grado Sr60. These headphones are praised by audiophiles for the crystal clear sound you get for the price. They cost around $70 though.
For something a little more afordable, you can go for the Sennheiser PX 100 which run at exactly $50 on headphone.com. They have a 5 out of 5 value rating. I have actually listened to these headphones and I was actually surprised by the sound quality. If you want a more expert opinion though, check out http://www.head-fi.org Those guys know it all when it comes to headphones and good sound, you can't go wrong asking them and they are very experienced with a wide range of headphones, so you'll get users' opinions. Check it out, good luck, and happy listening!

im using a pair of sennheiser's at the moment (a pair of mx 90s it think). Very good sound quality when compared to the standard ipod ones. I would recommend the sennheiser's personally.
