Ya maybe for pc's this would have an effect, but most likely it would take awhile for you to see the price changes show up in the lappy manufacturers prices. And by then conroe for pcs and merom,or something like that, for lappys would have already come out, so for notebooks it won't make that big of a difference and for pc's all it is, is an early pricecut since conroe comes out this month.
