Default how do we feel about this set up?

so im building a new computer finally, mine is about to shit the bed. but i was just hoping you guys would look over everything i bought and tell me what you think. make sure i didnt make any mistakes, and if there is anything that i should replace due to better units at similar pricing is out there. the main use is going to be for gaming, but it will be a working machine as well. thanks for looking

what about going with socket AM2 and DDR2 RAM?

You could also wait for the prices to drop or wait for Conroe to come out.

i dont want to wait anymore, ive been waiting for a new computer for about 2 years now, and my current computer isnt going to last much longer, its starting to make real funny noises.

lol, thats what im looking for!

PS - Quick question about the speakers. i currently have the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 set up, since the sound card can handle 7.1 do you think i would be able to hook up both the Promedia 2.1 along with the ProMedia Ultra 5.1? Use the 2.1 set up as an extra sub and speakers 6 and 7.

It looks great, except I would recommend going with socket AM2 instead of 939. Price will be about the same, more or less. Good luck with your build.

Wait till July 23 thats when the new core duo comes out. That's only like 2 weels away anyway. It's not that long of a wait.
