Default Best Sound Card?

Whats the best sound card on the market?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102188

That was recommended as a great one... anyone think it can get any better? I was reading that it had some driver issues.

I would also suggest that card. I had it but I am selling it now. It was amazing, great sound quality.

I had no driver issues but I had one software issue, it was very easily solved.

If you're looking for the best or close to the best here is an amazing one:

Might be out of your price range.

The X-Fi is the best consumer Sound Card for general use. If you have a high budget, either the X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS or Elite Pro would be the best.

That is a very good soundcard there and is great for music and games and great with headphones it turns them into 5.1. however i would get one of the higher end ones if you can afford it.

A lot of negative feedback on this card... i'd pay the money if it was worth it! I want a card that's worth getting! I want EXCELLENT sound and something to compliment my Altec Lansing 5100s! These speakers are amazing and I love them!

lol that's generally considered the best consumer sound card out there on the market. If you have the money, get it.
