Default Wondering.

I was curious if I could get more memory for my laptop I have a
Compaq Presario V5000Z.
-Microsoft Windows Home Edition.
-AMD Sempron(TM) 3300+(2.0GHz/128KB L2)
-128MB ATI Radeon XPRESS 200M
-256MB DDR SDRAM
-60GB 4200 RPM HArd Drive
-DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive
-Bright View Wide Screen 15.4"

I think I can but just asking to make sure. Thinking of getting 512 ram.

Yes, you've got an extra slot for it. I wouldnt just install another 256 (to make 512mb). I'd shell out for a bit more since the price of memory is pretty low nowadays. You'll see more of a difference with a bigger stick than you would with a 256 chip- you may won't even see a difference with that.

HAH! What a coincidence! I have the same exact laptop, accept it came with 512MB total. Because of the graphics card it's less, so I'm thinking of getting another 512MB or 1GB.

No, not really. It's pretty simple. Just unscrew a panel and
Pop it in. You can also buy notebook memory just about anywhere. It may save you a bit of money too.

underneath the laptop there should be a bunch of slots. just look for the one with the memory symbol by it, unscrew it and pop in the stick
