5500 looks to have a little higher core clock.

5500 is better i would say....

The 5500, not by much. They are both very low end cards.

the FX series was about the biggst dissapointment nvidia has ever produced. get the 6 series.

Yes, the 5500 is better, but neither card is particularly good. If you're on a tight budget, consider an ATI 9600 series card.

Aight good cuz I was gonna get both of them (1 for me, 1 for my lil brother) but newegg keeps saying payment failed so I'll get my stuff from tigerdirect as soon as the cancel the order.

You can't always go by the model number, since obviously a 7300GS isnt better than a 6800Ultra. But generally speaking, the higher model number is better when you're comparing two video cards in the same catagory, such as a FX5200 and a FX5700.

ok what's better? eVGA Geforce FX5500 256MB 128-bit DDR AGP or Radeon 9250 256MB 128-bit DDR AGP. I'm stuck with those 2 since my order has been succesfully charged on newegg. I'm upgrading from a 32MB ATI Rage 128 Pro AGP so I'm sure I'll be satisfied with either. I plan on playing sims 2 which is not very pleasant to play with my current videocard, and Start playing guild wars which seems interesting enough.
