Default a question about movie files

i have a few movie files and their volume is extremely low, how can i make their volume louder? i have windows movie maker, can that software change the volume of movie files?

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control > Change the volume of playback and wave to a higher volume.

i think yes..
you can also use virtual dub i think...

not changing my computer's volume, changing the movie file's volume using a software. which software can do that? windows media maker?
