You are right about if you find then right one from a company and they may be quite as good but I am not sure if you can upgrade and replace the internals. The most you are usually able to do on a laptop is change the ram and the hard drive. Hope this helps

yeah their good, because they are refurbished, meaning they were broke, and now it's fixed, soo it would have new parts.
i bought a refurbished HD couple days ago, never do it again, didnt work, but am getting replacement.
