Default Disappearing Music Files

A month ago I sarted loading CD's into my HDD. I'm not connected to the net on that computer to prevent viruses. A couple of weeks ago 60 folders vanished from "MY MUSIC". Each folder was made up of 1 CD. I re-loaded them back in, and yesterday 60 more vanished. I've also noticed individual songs disapperaing from other folders. What gives? I'm not that comuter literate, so please keep it simple.

Default Disappearing Music Files

I have access to it at my house, but this comuter is a stand alone unit with no connections to the net. I did this to avoid viruses.

You should pursue malware as suggested. My question is, are you really sure the folders are gone and not somewhere else on the pc?

You could try Search, Files and Folders, All Files and Folders, search for filename/folder * (just enter *), all local hard drives. That will produce a big list. Order by name column and look for folders that have disappeared. If you know for sure the name of a missing folder you could first try searching for that name instead of *.
