I want to have one monitor up to two computers. One to work all the time then the other would go to the video card and to make it work i would have to inable the dual screen. Now i found a Y splitter for 2 females and 1 male. If i was to by a adapter for male to male then could i get this to work? any ideas

Something I do, if you have an LCD with duel inputs, you can have one computer connected to the digital input and one connected to the analog. You still need a set of keyboards and mice, but it works

Nope, you can use the same keyboard and mouse too. It has PS/2 ports where you can hook up your mouse and keyboard to it

No you can't, he is talking about using 2 inputs on the monitor, you are talking about a KVM switch.
