Yeah... Vista is going to be a huge change for the gaming community. Developers are going to have to make the shift over to producing 64-bit games with DX10 support, while probably still having to make a secondary release for those running at 32-bit and DX9 or below. I'm guessing by winter 2007 that major releases will require Vista...

well, that does help a bit, but there are certain conditions with that program, its flawed in a few places, if anyone doesnt know more info can be found here - EVGA | Step-Up Program

i wouldnt guess, guess for tomorrow, but not for next year, anything can happen in 2 years, i wouldnt guess for that far ahead

I got mine for $140 after rebates.

I read a bit about the step-up program before. what flaws? you can upgrade to newer versions/higher end models and only pay the difference, or shipping if it's the same price. they put the price you paid towards a new card.

I'll probably do it for a similar dx10 one when they come out.

wait, you can still play dx9 stuff with that, right? probably I dumb question, but I never really understood what it really even means.
