Default New link thingy

Does anyone else not like the new link thing where when you post a link it takes the subject from the page? Sometimes its usefull for those long links, but for example when i just type in craigs list . org then it makes it into this huge thing, I like it better when it just takes long URL's and puts them like this
http://www.slafkh.com/sdgfasdgdfgdfg...dfasdfasd.html
www.slafkh.com/......asd.html and links it. for example if you just type in newegg . com with no extension or anything it looks like this
Newegg.com - Buy Computer Parts, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras, and Electronics

except some websites with longer titles or worse....much worse...and you can image how that gets in the middle of a paragraph. I have to keep going in and edting my post to get rid of it.

Hmmmm. the poll didn't work.... If a Mod/Admin comes a long It would be cool if you could add in a poll weather people like it or not, because now i have no option too.

I think someone (admin/mod) disabled the poll because of all the polls fungusboy posted yesterday.

I noticed the new link thing a day or two ago. Kinda cool. It's my guess that Ian enabled it along with the similar thread feature.

ah well, lol, neither do i, thats why i was testing it, lol, i couldnt get it to make a subject line thing, i dont know what your talking about, although i have seen it on other peoples posts... i just dont know how to create. Either way i dont like the sound of it, some/most of the time its important that people aswell as myself actually see the link fully, and see where its pointing to. (I know you can hover over it and look in the status bar but ya know what i mean)

Admin or mod.... i think there should be a public vote for this one, and if it doesnt get removed i think there should be an option in the USER CP to turn it off. cos IMHO it sucks

i like it, its easier to review peoples choices on newegg cause it says the name of the item in the link insted of the numbers.... and also i like it cause you get more insight on what your clicking on before you do

I could see maybe on longer links, but not on certain ones like e bay . com It takes up a full line, when its ust ebay without even a extesion after it. It might be hard to inplment it so it only does it on longer links though.

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
