I am needing to upgrade memory in my Gateway Laptop 2150 Solo. I am planning to purchase generic in an attempt to save $. I have checked on Gateway's page and I know that I need PC100 SODIMM. I was told that I needed to get 184 PIN although the Gateway page did not mention this. I have found PC 100 SODIMM 144 PIN on ebay. Do you know if this will work OK? Also, do you think that I would then be able to install and run Windows XP Home Edition with 160 MB of memory in this laptop?? Thanks for any help. |

This site http://www.memoryx.net/gaso21seme1.html seems to be listing 144 pin.
The windows xp home edition minimum system requirements listed at microsoft is 128mb. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/h...on/sysreqs.asp
