C2D on newegg?

Newegg doesnt yet have the C2D nor have the AMD prices gone down. Does ne1 know when newegg will do that?

It will probably be the same as with the release of AM2.

Once it was released, a few days later Newegg came out with one or two low-end AM2's, then the following week or two they had almost all of the AM2's in stock. At first they were charging alot more then they were worth, and eventually the prices droped, and the older CPU's didnt drop for a few weeks.

So I would say that in the next few days, Newegg should have a few C2D's available, but I wouldnt expect the other CPU's to drop in price for a few weeks.

AMD prices will not drop untill at least a week(likely several) after they have conroe, for marketing and advertisment reasons.

im sure the items need to be stocked up (or shipped) and the site needs to be updated. give it a week.

Well after seeing the prices on ebay for the C2D, I wouldnt be surprised if Newegg did the same thing.

Right now the Conroe E6600 bids are up to $465 with 3 days left!!

Are u sure the prices for amd havent dropped? I was on new egg last night and noticed it much cheaper. The AMD 64 X2 +4200 use to sell for 329 dollars. Now its only 199. the 64 +3800 single core use to sell for about 160 when now its about 99 dollars.

the 3800 on newegg is 140$...
