Default Windows Genuie error message

How do you remove the Windows Genuie message from the start up window? I read article saying start Windows XP in the safe mode and then delete Wgatray.exe file, but Windows XP will not allow me to start it up in the safe mode. When I restart I push F8 and it list which boot device to wish to start from, nothng about safe mode. I legally purchase my copy XP and should not be getting this message to begin with. Please help

If your copy is legal, then call Microsoft. If it isn't, then live with it. Either way, that is an illegal hack, and not to be discussed here.

It's actually not illegal, but I would prefer not to discuss it here anyways. I'll just give you one hint "google".

If you're legal, you should be able to take care of it online. If not, then you shouldn't be running it in the first place. I really dislike it when legal users complain about this, if this were your company, you would do the same. Microsoft has the right to protect the software they license to you.

Another solution is to actually buy it like everyone else.
