Default bad board?

i had to replace a board, ok heres whats wrong, when i bump the monitor wire, the computer freezes and the monitor shows all sorts of colors, when i dont bump the wire, it boots up fine but the mouse doesnt work...

sounds like a short to me in the monitor wire i don't see how that would have anything to do with your mouse unless its shorting out something in the motherboard...if you have another monitor try hooking it up through that...im assuming your using the PS/2 port for the mouse..try using a USB port for it and see if it works

im using usb...the power will come on to the mouse then once it hits windows its done

have you tried using the PS/2 port?

Have you tried plugging your mouse into a different USB port.(that is if you have more than 1 USB port)
