Ok a few things, don't spend $250 on a crossfire mobo when you are buying an nvidia gpu, you can't get sli core 2 boards yet so don't spend the money. So intel has a $130 core 2 mobo, get that put that $100 to your video card, get a 7900gt and save up $40 and get a 2x1gb kit of ram, like this one $160 after mir. or if you don't like mir this one All that for only $20 more.

You don't need to spend $250 on a mobo, that ridiculous, and why do you want the top of the line mobo when you are sticking minimal ram for a core 2 with a mediocre gpu. Trust me if you don't like the intel mobo then find another cheaper mobo that supports core 2.
Here is an asus mobo for you, its an extra $30 though. Still 965 chipset but its still fine. The main thing for the 975 chipset is taht is supports crossfire, which you can't do with a nvidia card.

The E6600 is minimal? I would go with the ASUS P5B Board, especially if you want to overclock, and I know you want to. What everyone is forgettting is that you can overclock through the BIOS on Intel boards. I would also try to shoot for this PSU. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103933 I would also try for this GPU, with the extra cash from changing the motherboard. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130033

Ya better psu. And where did I say the e6600 is minimal?? I was saying with that cpu 1gb of ram would be minimal and would be better off with 2gb.
