Default dual core Vs dual processor

what is the difference between dual core and dual processor?

does the dual core run at high temp's due to the fact that it is one single processor acting like two?

i am thinking about selling my laptop and home computer/server to build me a 64 bit 5.0 dualcore.....

i want this next build to last me a good while-everything seems to be getting out dated so quickly, who can afford to keep up?

the thing is i really dont want to spend more than £400 on board and processor---

**********amd athlon 64bit 5.0 socket-am2***********
**********asus r.o.g crosshair nv590****************

what do you think of the above?

Conroe is Core 2 Duo, the new LGA775 cpu Intel has...really solid and are supposed to be low energy consuming and great price/power ratio

64bit 5.0x2? Closest thing that comes to mind is the X2 5000+ processor.

And you should be concerned about the energy consumption, unless of course you're gonna cool it down with water, dry ice or LN of course. Cause the more energy it consumes the more heat it also generates.
