Default Can't find the specs for my sound card?

I have a Yamaha DS-XG Audio CODEC, but I can't find the specs anywhere, I was going to upgrade this, but I don't know what the specs are and I don't want to accidentally downgrade. also, if I upgraded this, could I tell the differance between the 2??

I`d just get a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 Sound Card or summin like that. Specs are summin like...
- 7.1 surround output
- 24-bit/96kHz audio resolution
- 100dB signal to noise ratio
- Comprehensive Creative Media Source software provided
- EAX ADVANCED HD 3.0 support for gaming
- CMSS up-mixes stereo content to 7.1 surround

Got to be better than integrated sound and for £20 you can`t really go wrong

Yeah def, if your into gaming, 24 Bit sound is much clearer and crisper. Also you have the option for 7.1 surround if you ever get a 7.1 setup.
Even just watchin movies and listen to music you should notice a difference in quallity. Like i said 20 quid for a PCI sound card its good step forward.

What exactly is your budget though? You could get something better.

I have no idea what my budget is yet lol, I'm selling a broken PSP and getting B-day money from my rich grandparents, so I'm not sure, it should be over $250 though.
