Default restoring pictures.

a while back at a party my friend got some good photos on her cam but somehow in the process of putting them on her computer managed to delete them all. (don't ask how lol)

anyway i have seen these programs that say they can restore any file that has been stored on a memory card and was wanting to know if anyone has had any experience with these programs and which is the best?

cheers, kain.

Recovering photos from a harddrive is bad enough, but from flash memory is basically(if not) impossible. I've seen a few programs that are suppose to help recover such data, but I've never verified that they actually work.

well at this time i am inclined to think that they do not work. i have been trying a couple of trial ones out on my camera and out of four only one has recognised my camera and returned zero reults. bit pissed really!

cheers, kain.

well my parents own a photoshop and ive been around it all my life and i have to say that it is basically impossible....a hard drive puts somethin on and when u delete it all u do is delete the name....on flash memory it deletes everythin...its kinda like RAM that stays while its not plugged in...once deleted or if the chip is formatted it is gone for good...however if u do find a program that actually works let me know!! srry mate

If you read around the forums, recovery programs do work. Like hdd recovery, success depends on the circumstances. I presume you tried Zero Assumption.
