Default Windows XP Setup Question

Anyone know of a way to make Windows XP Setup look in a different location than the floppy drive after pressing F6 to load SATA RAID controller drivers?

TIA, J

EDIT: Mods, just saw there is an OS section...please move, and I apologize for the mishap. Thanks, Jack

Moved...

As for the question, I know there was some program that would remake a windows disk with some additional features, such as additinal drivers, automatically entering the key, etc etc... I'm sorry that I don't recall the name, but that's probably what you'd need. Maybe you could search on google some for such utilities.

Surely. I have created many. None of them work since my floppy is generating read errors (ID Address mark not found). I have tried swapping the cables and the floppy drive, to no avail. I have read much about this error as well. Seems quite erratic, as some have had good experiences with swapping out the floppy, whereas there are others (such as myself) who aren't successful at all no matter what they try.

Alas, I am in the position here that I am in: I need some other way for Windows XP Setup to get device drivers.

You could use some slipstreaming tools/methods, to manually put the drivers into the CD, and they would load at boot time.

I am in that process now, thanks for the advice. Going with what The_Other_One initially suggested, I found this website: http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/ which provides a walkthrough on the process. I'm going to try this tonight.
