ok the thign about building it myself, is it hard? actually i dont think i'd do it MYSELF, but would they charge a lot to just put everything together at a store, or like where do i go?

agreed, go with the amd system though, p4's are slow compared to athlons, at least my 3700+ to my p4 HT 630 prescott. Depending on what you are gonna use it for 512mb of ram, 80gig+ harddrive and you should be good. But what will you be using this for and once again what is your budget.

And if you would do this, its not really worth it, they will overcharge you for it, however if you know someone personally who could build it for you maybe like $50 and the parts, I know I would do it for that. But then again price it out what it would be after labor, sometimes you actually spend about the same.

Probably anywhere between 50-100$.

Building isent really that hard. Look at the sticky thread Building Computers 101. It will help you a lot.
