Default Windows XP Shutting Down

Lately I've noticed that if I leave my computer on for any length of time (usually a few hours) it shuts down automatically and I'm at the pre-windows BIOS screen with the message "NTLDR is missing". If I shut it down it starts up again okay. I assume at some point I'm getting a blue screen o' death before it actually starts to reboot, but I haven't seen it.

Anyone have any ideas? I know I'm running hot, and I actually plan on upgrading my fan & power source this weekend. Could that be causing it?

I'm running Windows XP Pro on an AMD 64 bit 3000+ (1.8GH) processor with 1 Gig of Ram.

Thanks!!

I had the same problem and what shadyi is saying it right but you may also try doing this... that is if you can. When you see "NTLDR is missing" can you press f8 and select "last known good configuration". If you do, try doing that it should fix it but you might loose your data on your computer. But if you can't press f8 and select "last known good configuration", then what shadyi said will do it.
