Default Intel t2300E ....."crippled"??

So dell took off their 30% 999+ coupons so the comp I want is now about 930 when it used to be 800. So I am most likely going with ebay. I noticed most of the processors on their are t2300E's...I found an auction that just had a regular t2300 and he said this:

New Intel Processor T2300 CORE DUO (Not Solo)

NOT the T2300E Crippled Processor (Unlike all other E1405's on eBay)

Where does he get that the E's are crippled? Is this true?

Heres the auction

first off neweggs prices suck for what you get on laptops. second...im asking a simple question of rather or not a certain processor indeed is "crippled".

youll notice the laptop in the auction is dual core 667mhz, 512 ram, true life, sound blaster, 8x dvd...for 790. the cheapest dual core on newegg is 840 and its a 15.4 (less battery life and less portable) sized laptop.

Nothing is "crippled", they work fine. It is a bunch of advertising crap. Just like 8MB does not give you a noticeable advantage. But the 5400rpm might.

And 14.1" is not a huge screen....etc etc etc. He is just exaggerating things to try and sell it.

BTW, the Core Duo doesn't have anywhere near the double the processing power of the Core Solo.
