Default Emachine wont boot

i wanted to test out my screwed hard drive so i went upstairs and testing on my bros comp. I pluged it in and booted up windows -the emachine logo loaded and then it went to a blackscreen that said windows could not be loaded (btw my harddrive was set for slave) then when i disconnected and booted up the comp again the emachine logo pops up then it goes to a black screen where a white line in the top left corner is flashing. Anybody know what to do?

damn you just screwed your bro hardcore man. I just had that problem, except a lot worse. all my system bios went retarded. so what did I do? I ordered a new motherboard, and a new CPU (didnt need to, just wanted an upgrade). I am using that system right now. so yea, your bro might need new mtoherboard... try reinstalling windows first though
