hey is there anyway to override a password to windows xp pro?
my friends laptop had a battery problem and then i fixed it but now it asks for a password and he doesnt know what it is i tried safe mode but that didnt do anything and suggestion will be greatly appreciated. ty |

did you try safemode
administrator, password or administrator ( no password) or try this http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ when you reset the admin password LEAVE IT BLANK, I have never got it to work by putting in a different password. You can always go back in to windows and change it to something
