I can't view any videos on the net that requires Media Player plug in anymore. It all worked well when I had Media Player 9 but when I upgraded to MP 10 that's when it started.
![]() I've clicked on the play button a gazillion times and nothing happens. I can tell the page is done loading but no video comes up. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks, Matt

Hmm... Try reloading/updating windows media player. Or, try it in IE and see how it works. I've had problems with a few sites before and I've never known the exact problem.
Another method that's a bit of a pain is simply digging out the embeded video. Typically, it's not too hard to find... http://www.computerforum.com/videos/video.wmv, or something like that... Many times if you just run them like this, they'll just download and you can run them right off your computer.

Ok the download directly thing worked. I tried to view that web page (the one I posted) w/ IE and still nothing. Do you think if I downgrade to MP 9 (when everything still worked) it will work again?
Thanks EDIT: I've tried other web sites with MP video and still nothing works.

That's almost certinally an issue with WMP... Yeah, try downgrading if possible, maybe even reupgrading after if you like 10.

Ok I downloaded MP 11 and still the same problem
![]() It says I'm not connected to the Internet. I can't even go to the online store in the Media Player. It says "Work Offline" is selected but it isn't. Any more ideas how to fix this? Thanks, Matt

Strange... You're not running though any proxy, now are you? Or perhaps have some odd network settings in Windows Media PLayer?

I'm not sure what version of Firefox you are using but it might be a problem with that. If you are using Firefox 1.5.0.5 that is probably your problem. Update to 1.5.0.6 and you should be fine. Take a look at this: http://www.mozillazine.org/talkback.html?article=13684
