well if you are doing something, then yes it is perfectly fine, it just comes on to cool the cpu (or gpu) laptops have limited cooling so it is fine for the fan to come on every five minutes

My Averatec is the worst when on dynamic switching(800MHz ir 1600MHz) That or if it's run for over about an hour, it gets to the point where the fan will NOT shut off!

So it's not a problem. I didn't research your laptop, but usally larger laptops don't require a fan as often. I worked on a large Dell at work, and the fan never came on the whole time I used it... Unfortunetly, the bottom of it got too hot to use in my lap!

if there is any problem then i think ur system should reboot itself...due to over heating.........

yea that sounds about right, my dell did the same thing when i got it, i found it extremely annoying so i obtained a program that sets it at a constant speed every time i start up the computer that way it stays cool and is less annoying at the same time.
