Help me please (IBM Thinkpad 600X)

My Thinkpad froze up while I was msn-ing and now it wont start up windows, even in safe mode!
I cant work it out, someone please help!

How far do you get when you first turn on the computer? Do you get past the IBM logo?

yes, i got just past the ibm screen and then windows doesn't load and it restarts

i would take a look at the ram in the system, however if it starts to load windows from the hdd then stops it could be a hard disk problem.
