Default changing dvd/cd-rw

is it possibleto change this drive for a different one in laptops??

yes you need to look for slimline internal ones
go to your laptop website they should sell it

You wouldn't happen to have a Dell would you? They actually are made to slide right out with no tools(maybe a screw driver for a single screw)

Otherwise, it might take a little work, but I do beleive most are replaceable. Any reason you're replacing it? If it's not bad, you could probably build an external USB drive for the same price or less than some of these interal drives.

no its not a dell its a hp pavilion 1510us and i believe its starting to die on me, its getting very loud and whatever im playing cd or dvd freezes up quite often.
