Default Illegal Disk?

I have recently decided i should burn dvd's now since they are larger and i also have some things that are that large but when i load the project in roxio 7 i get illegal disk i just updated the firmware its a memorex dvd rom and they are memorex dvd's i'm starting to kinda get aggitated any suggestions? oh yea cd's work fine...

illegal disk? strange......what are you trying to burn....an home made movie? a friends movie? Perhaps check if the file is copyrighted.
but i did not quit understand your question.....

i'm just burning datadvd's like pictures and things that are off of my computer as i do a lot of programming and i have a lot of extra stuff i keep on cd which i'm trying to convert to dvd it just kicks it out no matter what i put on the dvd it says illegal disk every time

Check if your DvD rom supports all the different formats : DVD-R / DVD+R / DVD-RW / DVD+RW / DVD+R Double Layer

yes it supports all of them when i get home later i will post a response with all the log info from nero 7 for you to see...
