What mouse do you have now (logitech?) I honestly barely noticed a difference moving to a MX1000.

I have a cheaper 600dpi wireless mouse and I don't see why anyone would need much more... But then again, I guess I don't game that much...

I love the MX518 as well. I had a G5, but I prefer the MX518 much more.

I would highly recommend the Razer mice:
Razer Diamondback - 1600 dpi optical Razer Copperhead - 2000 dpi laser There is a difference in precission and general use because the Razer is lighter than most other mice. Unlike the MX518, the cable is very thin and the entire mouse more comfortable for the hand.To answer your question, it will be worth it. The question is whether to go 2000 or 1600 dpi. I would stick with 1600dpi. Here's a link to mine: http://www.marrouche.net/cz3rt/galle...5/DSCN2011.JPG JAN
