Default mpeg player?

Are there wny home dvd players out there that will play mpeg format, so all I have to do is download a movie from the net which will be in mpeg format. Then just take then mpeg movie and burn to a disc.

I've not tested any, but these are DVD players that should play unauthored isos with MPEG files on them.

Yep there sure are... I have Zensonic Z330 which plays mpeg4, etc. It's a kinda cheap DVD player though...

Now when I download a movie it's in mpeg format. Is that the same as mpeg4 format which is what the dvdplayers you say can read?

Nah MPEG-4 is an avi file. MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 would mean mpg file.

I'm pretty sure theres no exceptions to those.

My player plays mpeg4 (divx, xvid, etc), as well as mpeg1, etc. It's pretty cool for a cheap piece of junk... hehe.
