Default Help with My HD

I uninstalled my Windows xp and now reinstalled it on my dell laptop but now i hav eno sound device even thoough it says its installed and now i go to device manager and i dont have the option to enable it but everuything elese works besides the sound. Exept i can not put my laptop into stby can someone please help me i need this quick.

Go to Dell's website, type in your service tag or model number and get the drivers...

As for standby, I don't know right off. There are probably other chipset drivers that you missed, they should also be on Dell's site.

As far as I know, Stand by can be switched off or on.
