Default E6600

Is it true that the E6600 is just an underclocked E6800?

Using the Kadalf LCS http://www.thermaltake.com/product/C.../vd4000swa.asp

Do you think I can overclock to E6800 speeds without any issues?

You should be able to get around X6800 speeds without any issues.

You should be able to reach that speed, however the x6800 has unlocked upwards multipliers, which will allow you to OC higher.

Just make sure you have the right motherboard and the right ram as well as psu.

You dont want to go though the bios its a lot of hassle just get motherboard that supports it.

the X2 3800+ was an underclocked 4600+ for me, other people don't think so but they're idiots because i got to 2.4ghz without any issues with voltage or instability. i dont see why it would be any different for the e6600.
