A "recovery card" is used to protect HDD from alteration of files or the system, viruses, etc. once I reboot, the card restores the hd from its original state...fresh. recovering damaged modified or erased files(accdg. to the manual)
In my case, it went the other way. It wont boot coz a "hal.dll" is missing. I uninstalled the card, removed it from the slot and the voila...Hal.dll is gone.
I then have to install the OS again to keep it up and running.
any idea?
why is hal.dll missing? hardware abstraction layer?
