Default New Os on Old Computer

Hey, my little sister wants a computer in which to perform tasks on such as write word documents and play silly little games. Ofcourse, I didnt pay much attention to her untill I found an ancient computer. Ok so its not that ancient. Im not sure as of its specs yet. But Im sure reformatting is a must, I was wondering If I could use the OS from my computer and boot it up on that old thing. I have the disc and all. Or would that not work?

BTW the OS is Windows XP

Can't say much without knowing the specs... I think the requirements for XP's a Pentium II 333MHz, 128M RAM, and at least 1.5G on your HD.

So with the minimum specs, I would beable to have the OS work on both computers?
