It IS windows. You know how ther was windows 95, 98, then 2000, then XP? Well Vista is the newest one that is coming out.

It is a resource hog, that is for sure. I almost think they made it to force people to upgrade their computers or something. Otherwise I see no excuse for it.

It's not really better than XP Pro. It has some more advanced features in it, but it doesn't have the hardware support that XP has or even close to it because it is still in beta. Not to mention that I have run across several applications that won't install on it.

It's fun to play with it, and I run it as my main OS, but I have next to nothing installed. If your computer is your life I suggest sticking to XP at the moment.

I hope this thing comes with a product key, it's the only thing I need. I have build 5472, so I'm not installing this back to build 5456 or whatever the beta 2 was.

And what is that cd key gonna do for you? Its not gonna be valid when they officialy release vista.

If you dont have a valid CD-Key that can be activated, you can only use Vista for 14 days. If you have the CD-Key from Microsoft, you can use Vista for a year or so.
