Laptop Screen

Hi, I posted a message a few weeks back about a loud buzzing noise in my laptop - well to cut a long story short, I sent it off for repair and they replaced the fan for the second time.....however this time it seems to have fixed it.
But during the period the fan wasn't working, I think it's screwed up my screen. If I move the screen at all i get all these lines and multi-coloured patches all over it. Sometimes they stick on the screen aswel, and if i give it a shake or tap then they go. But any movement at all causes these problems.
I'm going to send it back to them to get repaired (I have a 5 year guarantee), but I just wanted to check with you guys if this seems the symptoms of a broken fan. Any help would be grateful so I could explain to the guys what's wrong. Thanks.

That sounds like a broken LCD to me, that shouldnt be damage associated with the broken fan. More than likely, someone whacked the front of the screen or the cover of the laptop, and hit something that isnt meant to be hit.

Well I know I haven't banged it, so unless the repair guys did.....

Any other possible explanations?
