Default Ram speed mixing

can i mix ddr 400 with ddr 266?

Sure, but it will run at 266 speeds. Somehow I don't think you want to do that.

If you are going to buy DDR400 simply plan on using that to replace the slower memory as long as your board will run DDR400. Many older Socket A and P2+P3 boards would only run upto DDR333.

yea, it just runs at the slower memory's speed... lower performance = lose.
