Default Deleting search history

Can anyone tell me how to delete all the search history from the internet?
In google, if I type a "C" then all the things I've searched for starting with the letter "C" appear. I have tried deleting everything in internet options, and I've also tried a program called "Window Washer" but the search history still appears, any ideas?

To see all things with "C" appear after running several search with that letter at the beginning of a word is normal. To clear your browser history simply go up to the "Tools" link on the top of the IE browser window and click on that for the drop down menu there. At the bottom is the "Options" choice where you delete not only the browsing history but all offline content as well. You will have to re-enter passwords, user names, and email addresses later since those "Cookies" as they are called(text files stored on hard drive) will be deleted there. When you get back here you will have to login fresh. So don't forget your user name and password and any online email accounts or ???

That's more for cleaning up obsolete files and folders off your hard drive not clearing the search history. But one site referring to PC CONFIDENTIAL has a free online scan to delete all histories accumilated on your system. You can look that over at http://www.winferno.com/c/002/pcconf...ivacy_home.asp?

Go to tools, internet options, the content tab, click autocomplete, and click clear forms.

"Q10080 - HOWTO: How do I clear my previous searches?You can clear the history from the search pull-down box in one of three ways:
1. Choose Clear Search History from the search button pull-down menu, or
2. From the ToolButton menu, choose Options > Search, and click on Clear Search History
3. Right-mouse click on the ToolButton systray icon (in the bottom right side of your desktop), and choose Clear Search History
Note: The above instructions do NOT clear the history of the Internet Explorer browser. ToolButton does not cleary the history of your browser. You must do this through the browser controls. For example, with Internet Explorer version 6.x, see this:
mk:@MSITStore:C:\WINDOWS\Help\iexplore.chm::/chg_hist.htm " http://www.toolbutton.com/KB/article.aspx?id=10080

With the toolbar companion here you simply click on the infospace name on the left end for the dropdown menu there and choose the clear history option. http://www.infospace.com/home/tbar/ Here's a screen shot of the free exploxer bar.
