Default wireless router question

Hey guys. I bought a D-link DI-624 Wireless Router. How do I make it so that only me and some friends that come over that have laptops can use my internet connection without having to install the router drivers on their laptops?

Put a password on the wireless portion... Wep or wpa protection. Probably under the wireless security tab.
